OK, OK, we heard you..... Five years is too long to wait for another reunion. We are getting older and our ranks are thinning. We need to do something more often than every five years. So, your 50’s LHS Reunion Committee has taken the suggestion many of you have made and instead will have an annual picnic at Santee Lakes. They will be held on the Third Thursday in May Every Year and the next one will be Thursday May 18, 2023— at the same place as recent picnics— Area L (now called Gazebo 3) at Santee Lakes starting around noon.

The committee will pay the cost of reserving the site and you pay nothing to the committee, but you will have to pay the small parking fee at Santee Lakes. You will need to bring your own food and beverages.

We will ask people to bring their vintage cars and you can make it a family affair by bringing kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, etc.

Since we have no way of knowing who will be attending it is impossible to make picture name tags, therefore we are asking each grad to make tags for each person in their party. Please include a picture on your name tag that was taken when you were high school age. If you still look the same feel free to use a current picture. Please include your grad year and if you are in the mood make the tags a bit creative. Save and wear your tags each year.

Be sure to mark your future years calendars for the 3rd Thursday in May because we will not be sending anymore mailings using the U.S. Postal Service.

We will only be sending emails from now on so if you change your email address be sure and send an email with the new email address to dotodoto5@gmail.com or darreln@sanrr.com

The reunion committee currently has funds to pay for this years picnic and about 3-4 additional years. So we may have a “donation jar” set up so you can help defray future costs if you choose.
